White Friday in the Gulf 2026: Dates, Stores and How to Shop It Well

White Friday is the Gulf’s name for the Black Friday sales season. It usually peaks around the last Friday of November, and most big online stores in the UAE and Saudi Arabia run their own sale windows around it, some starting days earlier. Exact dates are set by each store, so the safest plan is to prepare now and confirm on the store’s own app or sale page once it goes live.

This guide explains the different sale names you will see, how the dates work, what each major store calls its event, and how to tell a real price drop from a reshuffled price tag.

What is White Friday?

White Friday is the same late-November shopping season the US and Europe call Black Friday. Amazon puts it plainly on its UAE sale page: White Friday is “the name we use in the Middle East for the Black Friday shopping season.” Friday is a blessed day in the region, so “white” sits more comfortably than “black” in Arabic marketing, and the name stuck.

You will still see “Black Friday” used by plenty of Gulf retailers, especially fashion sites, and noon brands its own event as Yellow Friday in its signature colour. They all point to the same few weeks in November.

When is White Friday?

No store has published its White Friday dates for this year yet, so treat any exact range you see online as an estimate until the store announces it. What we can say with confidence:

• The anchor date is the Friday after US Thanksgiving, which is always the last Friday of November or very close to it. Amazon’s official page describes its sale as “usually around the last Friday in November.”
• Sale windows are longer than one day. Stores typically open several days before the Friday and many carry offers through the weekend.
• 11.11 (Singles’ Day) falls on 11 November every year and has become the unofficial opening of the season on several Gulf apps.
• Cyber Monday is the Monday after Black Friday, and some stores use it to close the season with a last round of online offers.
• Early access is common. Amazon, for example, gives Prime members early access to White Friday deals.

As soon as a store publishes its official dates, its own sale page or app banner is the place to confirm them.

White Friday vs Black Friday vs Yellow Friday vs 11.11

So if you are hunting for a noon deal, search “Yellow Friday”; for Amazon, “White Friday”; and for many fashion sites, “Black Friday”. Same season, different labels.

Stores to watch this season

The stores below are the ones Gulf shoppers search most during the season. We have not listed discount percentages for them: store sale figures change by category and by day, and the only reliable numbers are the ones on the store’s own sale page at the time you shop.

noon

noon sells electronics, mobiles, fashion, home appliances and groceries across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and calls its November event Yellow Friday, with a dedicated Yellow Friday page on noon.com. It also runs an 11.11 sale earlier in the month. Expect daily deals that change during the sale, so add the items you want to your wishlist before it starts.

Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa

Amazon describes White Friday as its biggest sale event of the year and gives Prime members early access to the deals. Prime members on Amazon.ae can also shop the Amazon Global Store with free global delivery and no minimum spend, according to Amazon’s sale page. If you are not a member, check whether a free trial is offered before the early access window opens.

Namshi

Namshi covers fashion, shoes, sportswear and beauty for women, men and kids, and has used “Black Friday” for its sale pages in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. You can use these Namshi codes on top of your shopping:

Whether the code also applies to items already on sale is decided at Namshi’s checkout, so apply it in the cart and check the new total before paying.

AIVI (formerly 6thStreet)

Apparel Group has moved 6thStreet to a new platform called AIVI. If you shopped 6thStreet in past seasons for sneakers, bags and branded fashion, this is where its sale will appear now. Search for AIVI in your app store if the old 6thStreet app no longer updates.

Max Fashion

Max focuses on affordable everyday clothing for the whole family, from kidswear to basics. It is a sensible stop for winter and school basics, where a small saving per item adds up across a family order.

Carrefour

Carrefour’s UAE and Saudi sites sell groceries alongside TVs, laptops, phones and kitchen appliances. For big-ticket electronics, compare its price with noon and Amazon for the exact model number before buying.

Nice One

Nice One is a Saudi online store for beauty, skincare, perfumes and personal care. Fragrances and gift sets are popular at this time of year, so check stock early if you are buying gifts.

Trendyol

Trendyol’s Saudi and UAE sites sell Turkish and international fashion, plus beauty, electronics and home textiles. Look at delivery times on each product page, since some items ship from abroad and take longer during busy weeks.

Temu

Temu sells low-priced clothing, accessories, home organisation and small gadgets. Read the estimated delivery date on each item, and keep your order history until everything arrives.

Codes from our sheet you can use

These are the only codes in this guide. They come from our own store pages and are not tied to White Friday, so they can be used during the sale too, subject to each store’s checkout rules.

No minimum spend or expiry date is known for these codes. If a store changes its terms, the cart total is the final word.

How to tell if a White Friday discount is real

A big red “70%” label means little if the price was raised the week before. Three habits help:

1. Record prices now. Screenshot the items on your list in early November, or add them to your wishlist so you can see the price history the app shows. Compare on sale day.
2. Compare the same model number. Electronics often come in near-identical variants. Match the full model code across noon, Amazon and Carrefour before deciding.
3. In Saudi Arabia, look for the Ministry of Commerce checks. The Ministry tells shoppers to confirm three things during sales: the store holds a discount licence, the licence barcode can be scanned to verify the offer, and the price tag shows the price before and after the discount with the discount rate clear. If those are missing, you can report it to the Ministry.

Can you use a coupon code during White Friday?

Often, yes, but it depends on the store and on the product. Some stores exclude items that are already discounted, others allow a code on top. The quickest test is to add the item to your cart, paste the code, and see if the total changes. If it does not, the code is not valid for that item and you have lost nothing by trying.

How to apply a code on most Gulf store apps:

1. Add your items to the cart.
2. Go to checkout and find the field called “Promo code”, “Coupon” or “Voucher”.
3. Paste the code exactly as shown, then tap Apply.
4. Check the new total before you pay. If the code was rejected, the app usually shows a short reason.

Why a coupon code may not work

A code can fail even when it is listed online, because of the terms attached to it. Common reasons:

• The code has expired.
• The promotion is only for new customers.
• Your cart is below the minimum order value.
• Some items or brands are excluded.
• The code cannot be combined with the current discount.
• The promotion is limited to another country.
• The code has reached its usage limit.
• The code was typed incorrectly.

When a code does not apply, read the offer terms first rather than assuming the whole promotion is invalid.

Payment, delivery and returns during the sale

• Payment: each store lists its accepted methods at checkout, and they can differ between the UAE and Saudi sites. Buy now, pay later services such as Tabby and Tamara work with many Gulf stores (Tabby lists Namshi among its merchants, for example); whether they are offered depends on the store and the order.
• Delivery: order volumes peak during White Friday week, so delivery promises can stretch. Order early in the sale for anything you need by a fixed date, and double-check your address and phone number.
• Returns: return windows and conditions are set by each store and can differ by category. Read the return policy on the store’s site before you buy sale items, not after.

A simple plan for White Friday week

• Now: make a short list with a budget, and note current prices.
• Before the sale: install the store apps you plan to use, turn on notifications, and fill your wishlists so you get price-drop alerts.
• Day one of each store’s sale: buy the items most likely to sell out (phones, consoles, popular sneaker sizes) first.
• During the week: apply any code you have before paying, and compare the final total, not just the sticker price.
• After: keep order confirmations and track returns deadlines.
